Id Softwareis Level Designer Paul Jaquays updated his.plan with the news that a new free Quake3 Team Arena Map Pack has been released for download. This map pack was created by very talented fans of the Quake 3 Team Arena title, and have been packaged up and offered as a set by id Software. You may be familiar with some of these maps as they have been out on the scene for some time, but the maps in this package have all been tidied up and polished for optimum twitch factor team play.
The maps are Japanese Castles, Schadenfreude TA, Crossed Paths, and An Iteration of TA Hell. Here is a quote from Paulis.plan.
More Quake III Arena Mods. This is an early version of the Official Quake Live mappack for Q3. How ever most of them came from q3, but there are some new one, and of course the have better graphics. Credits: medve.

The Map Pack is a cross platform download.
DreamedArtist: Yes it does there is no known fix for that yet. I am currently trying to program a fix to stack intro and other videos over the resolution fix to prevent it from going black screen. Tonight I decided to see how ioQuake3 works with the game, and on doing so I found out that using ioQuake3 allows you to set a widescreen resolution (I'm using 1680x1050) via the menu settings and it still plays the cutscenes. Not sure if the cutscenes are stretched or hor- though, as they fill the screen, but either way it isn't really a concern considering what the cutscenes are. Crosmando: Anyone got any comments on what ioQuake () is like? Does it work with the GOG version?
Does it automatically do most of the stuff listed here? Right now I think getting the download from there is more useful for Mac and Linux users. For you Mac guys: 1. Get Wineskin and ioq3, then download the Windows EXE for Q3. Open Wineskin, download both the latest wrapper and version of Wine using the buttons.
This is pretty self-explanatory. Create a new blank wrapper, name it whatever. You don't need to add anything (Gecko, mono, etc) unless you plan on using it for something else, as you won't be running it. Click on the wrapper, click install software. Click choose setup executable. Let it do it's magic.
Refer to the setup instructions on ioquake3's readme. Ulead video studio 11 with crack free download. To get to your files, right click on your wrapper and click on show package contents. Go through the folders, when you come to GOG Games that's where the content is for Quake 3. Make sure to get both the main game and Team Arena's pak files. There you go, you have Quake 3 native.
Confirmed to work with El Capitan and everything below. This does indeed work with the Hi-Res textures.
Oh, and by the way: the Catch-The-Chicken mod sitting in the Windows downloads? Grab that, you can extract the EXE with The Unarchiver. Stick the ctc folder in your base and you have the mod ready to go. When I try to run ioquake3 it gives me the error 'You need to install Quake 3 Arena.' I had already put the pak0.pk3 file from my Quake 3 installation into the baseq3 folder of ioquake3 's directory.
Is it not reading the correct path? Update: I finally got ioquake3 to run by just putting all the pk3 files in that baseq3 folder. But now every time I try to join a MP game, it keeps re-asking me for the CD-key. I checked the folder and the CD-key is already there, why does it keep asking me for this every time?

IIRC the PK3 data in the windows version is a seperate installer for ioQ3 due to rights.
